You have called yourself lazy so many times it started to feel like a fact. You cannot focus. You cannot finish things. You start with intention and stop without knowing why.
But look at the context. You are operating in an environment specifically designed to fragment attention. Your nervous system is chronically activated. You are sleeping poorly, eating inconsistently, and carrying a cognitive load that would have seemed insane to any previous generation.
Laziness is choosing not to do something you could easily do. What you are describing is different. It is a depleted system trying to function in a depleted state.
The inability to start or sustain effort is often a symptom. Of burnout. Of anxiety. Of a nervous system that never fully comes down. Of decision fatigue so complete that even simple choices feel impossible.
Treating the symptom with more discipline or more pressure usually makes it worse. Understanding what the system actually needs is where the change actually starts.
